‘Urban Stream’ is a garden that celebrates a natural creek running through the site and its inhabitants. The outdoor area which once turned its back on the stream now embraces it, along with the resident eels. ‘Outdoor rooms’ extend out from the indoor living spaces and look to the stream and view beyond. A surprising retreat in one of Auckland’s central suburbs.
